Virtual Writer-in-Residence Program
February 1 – April 30, 2020
Thank you to all of our members who have access the Virtual Writer-in-Residence Program! This program is now full: we will no longer be accepting new consultations.
Keep an eye on our website for future Virtual Writer-in-Residence program information.
The Virtual Writer-in-Residence program provides rural and isolated SWG members outside of Regina and Saskatoon access to the services of a Writer-in-Residence. The Virtual Writer-in-Residence is available to meet one-on-one with SWG members through a video call to talk about the individual’s submitted writing project.
This service is available from February 1 to April 30, 2020, at no cost. SWG members may submit proposals, manuscripts or writing samples up to 15 pages in any genre for consultation. Members can access this free service a maximum of one session per month, up to three sessions per residency period.
About the 2020 SWG Virtual Writer-in-Residence Arthur Slade:
Arthur Slade was raised in the Cypress Hills of southwest Saskatchewan, Canada (on a ranch). He wasn't raised by wolves. It was elves. And one grumpy dwarf. He began writing at an early age. It took a few years but he is now the author of over twenty-five novels, including DUST (which won the Governor General's award), AMBER FANG and DRAGON ASSASSIN. He currently lives in the mythical city of Saskatoon and does all of his writing on a treadmill desk while he listens to heavy metal. Really. It's true.
