Bated Breath: A Suspense and Thriller Fiction Workshop

During this workshop, you’ll fill your writing toolbox with tactics to scare your readers breathless. Join suspense author Jason McIntyre for an afternoon of hands-on exercises and real examples as we put our literary fingers on the pulse of what makes a scene its most suspenseful. Together, we’ll tackle the nuts and bolts behind what scares us on the page and how to make your scenes reach out to grab readers by their throats.

This workshop is suitable for beginning and emerging writers. Knowledge of the basic mechanics of storytelling will be an asset.

Participation will be limited to 25 participants. Advance registration is required and will open on February 21, 2020. Please check back for the registration link.

You will register with your library card online through the Regina Public Library website. If you do not have a library card and would like to still register, please call any Regina Public Library Branch and they can register you.

Presented in partnership with the Regina Public Library’s month-long “Writes of Spring” programming – a celebration of readers and writers.

JASON MCINTYRE is the #1 Kindle Suspense author of THE NIGHT WALK MEN, bestsellers ON THE GATHERING STORM and SHED, plus the multi-layered literary suspense THALO BLUE.
