What’s in a Lifetime: A Memoir Writing Course

When: January 11, 18, 25, February 1, 2020; 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Where: Online (Participants will be emailed a link to access the AnyMeeting platform, you will not need to register with AnyMeeting.)
Cost: $55 members, $75 non-members

Participation will be limited to 12 participants, so please register in advance

What’s in a Lifetime: A Memoir Writing Course

Based on previous workshop feedback and adapted for an online audience, this four-week course will have you writing your memoir within the first hour. How? Tried and true tricks and tips for getting started, moving forward, and knowing when to stop, as well as class discussions, exercises, weekly assignments and a comprehensive reading list to spark memories and inspire stories.

About AnyMeeting

  • To join each meeting, participants will be emailed a link from Bernadette. You can see the process to join a meeting here. In advance of the workshop series, participants will be invited and encouraged to attend a test meeting (date to be determined) where you can practice logging on and interacting with the system and the host.

Bernadette Wagner is an award-winning, multi-genre author and community-builder. She is the author of two poetry collections and nine poetry chapbooks and the editor of three books, two magazines, and more than 20 chapbooks. With close to 30 years' experience in literary, magazine, newspaper, non-profit, and online writing, and more than that as a learning facilitator, she has delivered hundreds of community-based lectures, courses, workshops, and one-on-one consultations about new technologies, writing, and basic computer skills in dozens of libraries, classrooms, and community centres in Saskatchewan.
