Did you ever wish you could have lunch with an author? The SWG has just the program for you! Join us at the SWG office on the first Tuesday of every month for these lunchtime craft talks.
These half-hour sessions begin at 12:15 p.m. You can attend in person or from the comfort of your home, office, or favourite Wi-Fi spot (as long as you have access to high speed Internet and a Facebook account).
If attending in person, bring a bagged lunch and listen to a Saskatchewan author talk about the craft of writing. We’ll provide coffee, tea, and water. Write After Lunch is a free public event open to everyone and there is no need to register.
Past Write After Lunch talks can be viewed on our Facebook Page.
When: Tuesday, November 5, 2019, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Where: The Ken Mitchell Library, SWG Offices, 100-1150 8th Ave (Wheelchair accessible)

There’s nothing like getting away from it all. Retreats and writers’ colonies are ideal ways of doing that, allowing you to give your writing project undivided attention. And it just happens that the SK Writers’ Guild operates the best writers’ colony in the country! Guild member Dave Margoshes will give you a guided tour in this noon-time talk.
Dave Margoshes is a poet and fiction writer who’s been active in the Saskatchewan writing community for over 30 years. He’s appeared six times in Best Canadian Stories and been a Journey Prize finalist. Among his many books are Bix’s Trumpet and Other Stories, which was a Saskatchewan Book Awards Book of the Year, and A Book of Great Worth, named one of Amazon.ca’s top hundred books for 2012. He’s taught creative writing and led workshops at various locations, and for various age groups.
