Bringing Back the Buffalo: Stories from the Core

Bringing Back the Buffalo: Stories from the Core In partnership with the Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company, the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild is hosting a series of 4 creative writing workshops called "Bringing Back the Buffalo: Stories from the Core."

 Entry is free for all youth ages 13-19. Areas of creative writing that will be covered include prose, poetry, song-writing, and play writing. Dates for workshops are September 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. The workshops will conclude with a reading celebration on Sunday, September 30th. 

September 8th: Song Writing

September 15th: Poetry

September 22nd: Prose/ Play Writing

September 29th: Play Writing

September 30th: Public Reading

The Workshop takes place from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company (914 20th St. E, Saskatoon). The instructors are Curtis Peteetuce and Tenille Campbell. The workshop is limited to 15 participants. Lunch is provided and free transportation is available upon request.
