Glenda Goertzen
Prince Albert

  • Author/illustrator Glenda Goertzen was born, raised and educated in Saskatchewan, where most of her books take place. Throughout her youth she wrote novels where her love of hiking, biology and fascinating ecosystems played a strong role. As a grown up, however, she turned away from her dream of becoming an author to pursue a career in film and video production. After a decade of working a wide variety of multi-media positions, she was overwhelmed by a desire to be surrounded by books rather than TV screens. Shortly after launching into a new library career, her best-selling children's novel, [em]The Prairie Dogs[/em], was published. She now spends her days, at home and at work, surrounded by books in various stages of completion.
