The Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild is pleased to announce the results of SWG Mentorship Program and Indigenous Mentorship Program. These programs help nurture emerging writers by pairing them with established writing mentors. 

 

The participants of the 2019 Mentorship Program are: 

Apprentice Mentor
Gail May-Melin (Saskatoon) Randy Lundy (Pense)
Steffan Swaan (Saskatoon) Edward Willett (Regina)
Theressa Slind (Saskatoon) Sylvia Legris (Saskatoon)
Judith Wright (Saskatoon) Alexandra Popoff (Saskatoon)

 

The participants of the 2019 Indigenous Mentorship Program are: 

Apprentice Mentor
Joely BigEagle-Kequahtooway (Regina) Randy Lundy (Pense)
Elaine McArthur (Regina) Carol Daniels (Regina Beach)
Sarah Vermette (Saskatoon) Tara Gereaux (Regina)

 

In both mentorship programs, apprentices will be working with their mentors from January to April 2019 to hone their writing skills. Stay tuned for details of the Apprentice Readings in the New Year!
