National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 p.m. on November 30.
Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought fleetingly about writing a novel.

This year the SWG is again partnering with NaNoWriMo Regina region and the Regina Public Library to help enhance this month-long writing event.
Consider joining your local region! Visit https://nanowrimo.org and look up your region to find out more about events in your area.

2019’s NaNoWriMo theme is time travel. The tagline is “Your Novel, Anytime”.

NaNoWriMo Write-in’s at the SWG

A Write-in is an opportunity to work on your writing project with like-minded individuals. These sessions are not facilitated, but representatives from the NaNoWriMo: Regina Chapter will be present to provide inspiration and incentives to reach your word count goals.

These sessions are drop-in, but participants are encouraged to attend full sessions where possible.

In addition to the SWG Write-in’s, the Regina Public Library is offering write-in's at their George Bothwell Branch, Thursday's in November from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
