Foundation Brochure

In October 2005 the SWG established a foundation to create a long term endowment fund for Guild programming, to realize enhanced investment opportunities for existing trusts and provide for financial stability in the event of funding fluctuations. In the short term, individual Guild members have set up directed endowments that support individual writers’ skill development through bursaries.

Why Donate to the Foundation?

Because there are so many people, young and old, who love literature and writing as much as you do. And because the SWG provides real help and nurtures them.

Donors can choose to allocate money to the general SWG Foundation account for immediate priority programs, or directly to the Permanent Endowment Fund, the Facilitated Retreat Fund, or other SWG Foundation administered trusts, such as the Judy McCrosky Bursary Fund.

Donate today and help to create a legacy for the Guild.

Tax receipts are issued for all donations over $10.

NB: General Donations do not require a completed form. A cheque, money order or PayPal submission is all that is required.

Donations may be sent by cheque or money order to the SWG Guild office or through PayPal, which accepts individual, monthly and annual contributions. Directed Donation forms and PayPal donations may be made online through our website.
