Established in 2010, Writing North is a two-day writers’ festival that targets Saskatoon and a wider Saskatchewan community of aspiring writers and anyone interested in writers and books. Combining literary panels and workshops, Writing North is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for writers in Saskatchewan.
The event is the product of collaboration between University of Saskatchewan's M.F.A. in Writing Program, Department of English, College of Arts and Science, Department of Drama, and the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild, all of whom see this as a perfect opportunity to begin building bridges with members of our community.
Funding is also provided by Canada Council for the Arts, SaskCulture, and Saskatchewan Lotteries.
