Did you ever wish you could have lunch with an author? The SWG has just the program for you! Join us at the SWG office on the first Tuesday of every month for these lunchtime craft talks.
These half-hour sessions begin at 12:15 p.m. You can attend in person or from the comfort of your home, office, or favourite Wi-Fi spot (as long as you have access to high speed Internet and a Facebook account).
If attending in person, bring a bagged lunch and listen to a Saskatchewan author talk about the craft of writing. We’ll provide coffee, tea, and water. Write After Lunch is a free public event open to everyone and there is no need to register.
Past Write After Lunch talks can be viewed on our Facebook Page.
When: Tuesday, December 11, 2018, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Where: The Ken Mitchell Library, SWG Offices, 100 - 1150 8th Ave, Regina
A Geography of the Mind
with Linda Biasotto
A short story can lead readers on a journey through a character’s mind and heart. The trip may include dead ends or detours, but once the destination is reached, the true progression becomes clear.
Linda Biasotto has had numerous stories and poems published in various literary journals, including Grain. Her work has won numerous awards. Her first long manuscript, Sweet Life, a collection of literary fiction, won first place in the 2013 John V. Hicks Long Manuscript Awards. Sweet Life went on to be published by Coteau Books in 2014. In 2017, two fiction pieces were included in an anthology entitled Wanderlust published by Thistledown Press in 2017.
