So your Grandma was a rumrunner? Every family has a story! Family stories are fascinating, compelling, and often far from “ordinary.” Our family history can uncover stories we never knew. Learning about and writing these stories down can help to provide not only a record, but can give valuable resources for future generations to explore your ancestors.

Join author Candace Savage for secrets to well-researched family history and creating a compelling story. This workshop is presented in partnership with the Regina Public Library.

Space is limited, so please register in advance here: http://www.reginalibrary.ca/events/booking.php?id=11917

For more information contact Oin Nicholson, SWG Program Coordinator: swgevents@skwriter.com

Candace Savage is the author, most recently, of A Geography of Blood: Unearthing Memory from a Prairie Landscape, which won three Saskatchewan Book Awards and the $60,000 Hilary Weston Writers Trust Prize for Nonfiction. She is currently exploring the story of the family who built and first occupied her home in Saskatoon, a pinpoint beginning that has expanded across centuries and continents.
