After the Cyclone: Regina's Warehouse District Walking Tour
When: Wednesday, June 26 | 6:30 p.m.
Where: tour starts at Pocket Park (corner of Broad Street and 8th Avenue)
Regina's Warehouse District was one of the hardest hit areas following 1912's Cyclone, but rose again from the rubble. The Civic Museum of Regina (formerly the Regina Plains Museum), Dunlop Art Gallery, Regina Public Library, Regina's Warehouse District and the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild are pleased to present a walking tour highlighting the events of that fateful day and the district's rich heritage.
The tour, led by story performer Vincent Murphy, begins at Pocket Park, corner of 8th Avenue and Broad Street. Two lucky registrants will win a free preview of the Civic Museum of Regina, which opens in August.
Parking is available behind the Civic Museum of Regina at 1375 Broad Street. In the event of rain, the tour will be rescheduled for Thursday, June 27, at the same time and starting point.
