Grants and Writing 101:
Have you ever wanted to apply for a grant but didn’t know how, or are you interested in the finding out more about the process? In this workshop, Tracy Hamon, the current Program Manager for the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild will help to demystify the grant writing process. Participants will learn how to negotiate their way through the various sources available online for funding writers within the broader community. This workshop provides information on potential funding sources, how to identify and find them, discussion about the various guidelines, and how to distinguish and write the major elements of a project for a proposal. We will also look at budget writing and how to effectively communicate your project for funding.

She is also a published author of two books of poetry This is Not Eden (Thistledown Press, 2005) and Interruptions in Glass (Coteau, 2010).
