Kelby Cottenie (they/them) is a queer, nonbinary editor living on Treaty 4 territory, the past, present, and future territory of the nêhiyawak, Anihšināpēk, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis. Working with students as a writing tutor as they obtained their Bachelor's degrees in English and Psychology and Master's in English ignited in Kelby a passion for collaborating with writers and helping ensure a text achieves its goals. Following obtaining their Master's, Kelby has been thoroughly enjoying working as a freelance editor and getting to immerse themselves in books, style guides, and dictionaries as their cat trots across their desk.

Though Kelby is eager to take on any project, they're especially passionate about working on fantasy, poetry, children's books, psychology nonfiction, and academic works.
