Bio

  • Anne Lazurko raises children, writes and farms near Weyburn SK. She is a graduate of the Humber School for Writers (2006) under the mentorship of Sarah Sheard and was fortunate to have apprenticed under Connie Gault in the 2004 SWG mentorship program. She has poetry in Hagios Press, 2007 anthology, [Fast Forward: New Saskatchewan Poets] and short fiction in [Transitions]. Anne has one novel manuscript looking for a home, and is working on a second. While waiting for the big break and to earn an income, Anne does freelance journalism and recently won a national award from the Canadain Farm Writers Federation for work as contributing editor for Country Guide magazine.
