Bio

  • Karen was born a brunette, in Estevan in 1963, the third of four daughters to Norm and Elenore Brosinsky. After high school, Karen went on to a three year Visual Communications course, which lead to her full time gig as Art Director at Transcontinental in Saskatoon, where she has slaved away making pretty pictures for the last 25 years.
In 2009, Karen Edwards won a Saskatchewan Book award for her first children’s novel, “One Cold Armpit,” and who knows more about cold body parts than a Saskatchewanian?
Karen has been happily married to her supportive husband, Tom for 27 years and they have raised two beautiful, talented daughters, Janel and Sydney.
Running (tripping, falling), cycling or taking photographs along the South Saskatchewan River is where you’ll find Karen at 5:30 most mornings and she credits these treasured moments with an infinite supply of endorphins and creative ideas.
Karen thinks Henry Ford said it best when he wrote, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, either way, you are right.”
