anne@annecampbell.ca www.annecampbell.ca | | | Bio | - Anne Campbell was born in the wilds of northern Saskatchewan in a Red Cross Outpost Hospital.
Her writings -- poetry, fiction and non-fiction -- are included in magazines, journals and anthologies. Her poetry collections include: No Memory of a Move; Death is an Anxious Mother; Red Earth, Yellow Stone; and Angel Wings All Over. Her fifth collection of poetry, Soul to Touch is forthcoming in September (2009) from Hagios Press.
With composer Tom Schudel her musical work has been performed internationally. She has served on the Boards of The Writers Union of Canada, The League of Canadian Poets and the Saskatchewan Writers Guild.
Anne’s day jobs were at the Mackenzie Art Gallery, the Glenbow Museum and for over 20 years as a Regina Public Library administrator. She is presently a Research Fellow at the Canadian Plains Research Centre, University of Regina.
Most recently Anne co-edited with Jeannie Mah and Lorne Beug the award winning Regina's Secret Spaces: love and lore of local geography; she is presently working on a biography of the Regina Five visual artist Arthur McKay and with Jeannie Mah and Susan Birley, a history of the Regina Public Library within the social history of Regina.
