Anita Daher



  • Anita Daher was born in PEI and has spent much of her life moving, living all over Canada (In SK: Moose Jaw, Saskatoon and La Ronge). She moves easily between writing for young teens and older teens who face much more difficult issues. Among her titles: Racing for Diamonds, Two Foot Punch (Orca), and Spider's Song (Penguin) which was a finalist for the McNally Robinson Best Book for Kids and the Arthur Ellis Award. Daher won the John Hirsch Award for Most Promising Writer in 2007. She has worked on occasion as marketing director, freelance journalist, and radio broadcaster, and is currently teen book editor at Great Plains Publications. When she's not working with books she enjoys playing her guitar, and riding her horse. Anita currently lives in Winnipeg.
