Copyright and AI with Access Copyright

This session will provide useful insights to help writers mitigate risk when using generative AI. What are the ways writers have been using AI to develop manuscripts and what implications does using AI have for publishing and copyright?  Hear from Access Copyright, the non-profit that represents over 10,000 Canadian writers, visual artists, publishers, and their works.

There will be a Q+A following the presentation.

Presenter, Megan Roberts of Access Copyright

Access Copyright is a collective voice of creators and publishers in Canada. A non-profit, national organization, they represent over 10,000 Canadian writers, visual artists and publishers, and their works.  They license the copying of this repertoire to educational institutions, businesses, governments and others.  Through agreements with sister organizations around the world we also represent the works of hundreds of thousands of foreign creators and publishers.

Megan Roberts is Head of Legal at Access Copyright.

This year Miss G and Me was selected by the Saskatchewan Library Association for One Book One Province. Jennifer loves sharing with readers, hosting events, and leading writers’ workshops. She is also a teacher and is interested in how AI is being incorporated in education and creative works.
