Each October on the weekend following Thanksgiving, the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild hosts its Fall Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Fall Conference takes place on the Friday and Saturday and the AGM takes place on the Sunday.
The Fall Conference features a keynote address (the Caroline Heath Memorial Lecture), sessions on the business and craft of writing, readings, a member forum to provide feedback to the Board, and an Open Mic for everyone who would like to read from their work.
The Fall Conference/AGM alternates between Regina and Saskatoon. In even numbered years, the Fall Conference takes place in Saskatoon and in odd years it takes place in Regina. In 2011 it will take place in Regina.
