About the Workshop:
At this workshop, we'll talk about the basics of creating a character, then showing the character to the audience through dialogue. We'll create characters, and bring them to life by putting them in a scene. This process could be useful to prose writers as well as playwrights.
About the Instructor:
Leeann Minogue's second play Homecoming was staged at the Station Arts Centre in 2009 and will soon be published by Scirocco Drama. Her first play, Dry Streak, has been staged at the Persephone in Saskatoon, the Grand Theatre in London, Ontario, and at rural dinner theatres across the province. Her new play, Bloom, will premiere at the Edmonton Fringe festival in the summer of 2010.
